2. W. Unless you do not try, you cannot succeed.
R. Unless you try, you cannot succeed.Note: Unless means “if not”, therefor we cannot use a double negative.

4. W. He had no other object but to get his money.
R. He had no other object than to get his money.
Note: “other than” not “other but” is the correct usage.
5. W. Napoleon was both a soldier as well as a politician.
R. Napoleon was both a soldier and a politician.Or
Napoleon was a soldier as well as a politician.
6. W. Both Rama as well as his father are coming.
R. Both Rama and his father are coming.
Or
Rama as well as his father is coming.
7. W. This is different kind of camera than that.
R. This is a different kind of camera from that.
8. W. Note only he is a thief but also an murderer.
R. Note only is he a thief but also a murderer.
Or
He is not only a thief but also a murderer.

Note: The pairs “Either….or” “Neither…nor”, Not only ….. But also must be divided with logical precession; the first part being always follow by the same part of speech as the second came.

Note: When two singular nouns are linked by “as well as” they take a singular verb.
12. W. Until you remain restless, you cannot concentrate.
R. So long as you remain restless, you cannot concentrate.
13. W. Literature has no other aim but entertainment.
R. Literature has no aim than entertainment.
Note: “Other than”, not “other but”

14. W. I am going to Delhi because I may see my aunt.R. I am going to Delhi in order that I may see my aunt.
Or
I am going to Delhi to see my aunt.
15. W. He could not pass though still he tried often.
R. He could not pass though he tried often.
Note: use either “though” or “Although” “Still” but don’t mix them.
16. W. This book is better instead of that one.
R. This book is better than that one.
Note: “than” is used after comparative adjectives and adverbs
.
17. W. Work hard lest you should not fail.
R. Work hard lest you should fail.
Note: “Lest “ should be by “should” and not by “should not”.
18. W. It looks like, it might rain.
R. It looks as if/ as though it might rain.
Note: As if/ as though do not mean “like”
